Churchill Fellowship

In 2023, I was selected to join a cohort of UK changemakers to develop my research on building community resilience in the context of urban development and regeneration. I was funded within the Fellowship’s Resilient Communities and Economies theme and awarded a grant to visit people, places and organisations in the US over a period of two months in autumn 2023. I visited Minneapolis/St Paul; Chicago; Detroit; New York and Baltimore. Focused on understanding the wide range of different actors needed for projects to be successful, I met with funders, creatives, activists, community organisations, local authorities and other institutions.
