I produced an event as part of Peckham Platform's Memories for the Future programme of work in August 2024. The event, in Peckham Square, reconnected communities to public spaces through sharing memories and celebrating the diverse cultural heritages of the area.

Visitors were able to learn about traditional herbal practices through herbalism workshops and enjoy food from community organisation Sisterhood Supperclub Collective. It was an unique opportunity for people to share stories and ideas through food memories and journeys, make new local connections and learn about food growing. Highlighting the day’s festivities was a performance by local artist Chisara Agor.

The starting point for Memories of the Future is the Aunties of Rye Lane. In Peckham Platform's words, "These women business leaders who exemplify the realities of migration into Britain and the experience of rebuilding lives as part of a diaspora. Memories for the Future works to cherish and learn from these at risk histories which elucidate Britain’s complex relationships with the rest of the world, and the foundational influence of these women on the communities living/working on Rye Lane."
